I have to buy some new PCs for my art dept. to use CorelDraw 2021 on; performance is more of an issue than price- I'm looking for an optimum machine. We work with complex illustrations that can contain 1000s of objects, as well as multiple page CDR files (some over 200 pages) that can contain over 100,000 objects, so we need something powerful.
I have two machines, actually--an old Dell Vostro 1700 laptop with Windows 8 and a new Dell desktop (8700 XPS). I have both CorelDraw 12 and Photopaint 12 installed on the laptop and they work fine. This new machine will run Corel Draw 12, but when I start Photo Paint 12, it shuts down. I've tried compatability mode--same results.
